I am Simon Haegeman, born in Geraardsbergen, and I live and work in Ronse. In my paintings, I search for silence and meaning—those moments when the everyday takes on an almost sacred glow. My work moves between recognition and imagination, where symbols, rituals, and gentle fields of color weave together into poetic images that invite slow, contemplative looking.

With a restrained visual language and a keen eye for detail, I explore the tension between vulnerability and strength—between what is seen and what remains unspoken.
